Seminary of Natural Philosophies

Priests of the Weeping Eye are intent on discovering the many secrets of this world. The Watchers derived much of their power from their knowledge of natural philosophies, and this order wishes to uncover as much of that lost knowledge as they can.

Physics, chemistry, biology. Dimensions of a complex world refracted through the lens of their Patron’s light.

The priests of the Seminary are intent on uncovering and cataloging as much of this knowledge as they can. Although the Cathedral stands as the center of Matarialis' geography, the Seminary is its center of power and seat of authority for the Order of the Weeping Eye.

The Weeping Cathedral

A massive circular structure at the peak of the city wreathes the massive head of Matariel. Atop its crown a massive glass orb rests cracked wide open. From its interior, millions of gallons flow forth every hour of every day. This deluge is captured and diverted by aquafers that carry the water throughout the inner complex of the city, out to the greater city, and then out into the paddy fields.

The Cathedral itself is open to the masses, curated by the Order of the Weeping Eye who host sermons that serve to enlighten worshipers in both the ways of the Angels and in natural philosophies.
